"So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it!"

"So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it!" (Quran)

I wanted to start this blog with the sentence that I followed all my life and which has led me to the BOSANA family. I wish I could share with you my story about becoming the be part of the BOSANA, the impressions of receiving the first emails from Ajlana, the nervousness at the interview with Anela and the joy, a bit of insecurity on the faces of my parents when I told them that I was chosen as a scholarship holder.

My studies would have been completely different without BOSANA Foundation. Despite everything, my parents agreed to fulfill my wish and send me to university in Sarajevo. I spent my summer break looking for student jobs because I knew that I had to fight. That is when Bosana appeared in my life and thanks to these wonderful people, my studies have become easier.

Until just a few months ago I imagined that I would need to spend my student days working at a bakery at night, or stacking clothes in a store for a minimum student wage after all-day lectures, and then using the last atoms of my strength to study. But BOSANA provided a completely different and beautiful experience for me. My only obligation is to study and to make the world a better place. Instead of having to work hard to earn a living, I now volunteer and do good for others as well. Although I volunteered a lot through high school, which was one of the reasons why I was chosen for a scholarship, my desire to volunteer is even greater now. I feel that this way I can say thank you to these wonderful women for all the support they offer me.

I am trying to be active in all aspects of society, in the organizations, and on projects with different goals where I share the spirit of the BOSANA family. Thanks to BOSANA, who "made" me to volunteer, I was chosen to represent BiH at an international youth volunteer camp in Turkey with attendees from almost 50 countries.

I spend most of my free time volunteering in the Red Crescent of Turkey in BiH, where we share food packages every day. However, I enjoy the most volunteering at the MFS Emmaus project "Love for Mothers of Srebrenica", in which we visit mothers who live in the most remote places and spend time with them through conversation and socializing, which is certainly what they need the most.

In addition to volunteering in organizations that deal with humanitarian work, I am also a member of a few organizations that deal with youth development. I was a member of the CEO Conference team at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, where we worked in the organization of the Economic Forum 2020, numerous workshops for young people and the CEO conference itself, which was sadly postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Perhaps the greatest significance of BOSANA is that it removed all the worries and fears that would affect my success in college and life in general. It allowed me to become independent and gain self-confidence that enables me to firmly walk the path of accomplishing my goals.
