Bosana making stronger bonds

December 23rd, 2019

Saima and Selena are two Bosana students who met for the first time at the Bosana annual meeting in Bosanska Krupa this summer. Those few days were enough for the girls to discover that Medicine is their passion, which ignited the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Selena studies at Medical University in Foca, and Saima is a student at Medical University in Tuzla.

They share the same ambition, goals, vision and desire to become the best version of themselves. So they decided to attend "Winter Medical congress for young doctors and medical students" in Zagreb.

"It was an amazing experience and we learned so much!" - says Selena. Tha main teme of the congress was "What the brain thinks about the gut?". An important topic to know and understand, which helps to provide the best support and advice to your patients. Congress has last for four days, and girls attended five workshops, four lectures and scientific sessions.

"We had the opportunity to practice child delivery in different situations, to take care of patients with traumatic brain injuries, watch natural probiotics and their composition under the microscope and a lot of interesting things. The scientific session showed us how our manuscript needs to look like, how to present our work and which mistakes are most common." - girls agree.

Except for new learnings, they made wonderful new friendships and international connections with colleagues who share the same dreams just like two of them. That's why they will remember this conference with joy forever.

"Thank you, Zagreb, for having us. Christmas spirit is incredible and it was impossible not to fall in love with it. But even bigger thank you to our Bosana for giving us this opportunity. Thank you for making us better doctors and even better humans. See you soon."- Selena and Saima.
