Semir was born on April 5, 1994, in Srebrenica. His educational path was met with constant barriers due to his family’s financial hardship.

Because of the low-quality schools in Srebrenica after the war, his wish was to attend high school in Sarajevo. However, despite being accepted at prominent institutions, Semir was financially unable to stay in Sarajevo.

He eventually graduated from a high school in Srebrenica with a B grade point average. Semir studied at the Technical College in Tuzla.

Outside of school, Semir was devoted to his religion and learning about the same. He also enjoys art. Semir often participated in various workshops organized by different non-governmental organizations.

Semir was constantly hungry for knowledge and he believes that hard work, determination, and motivation will help him achieve his goals and dreams.
