Jasmina Pehic was born April 27, 1993, in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jasmina lived in Maglaj with her very ill father and brother, and an unemployed mother.

She has always been an excellent student with straight A’s. Her extracurricular activities and accomplishments have been crowned with many awards. Jasmina is the author of a published book called “Land of Dreams.” The principal of her former high school described her as an excellent student who was always involved in all the extracurricular activities and events organized by the school.

Without the scholarship she would have had to put her dreams on hold even though she was at the top of the list of accepted students at University of Zenica, College of Mechanical Engineering. Her major was engineering design and she graduated in 2018.
