After high school, she decided to study the Faculty of Medicine in Foča, at the University of East Sarajevo. As an excellent student, she got the opportunity to visit some capital cities in Europe and the trip was organized and financed by the town of Trebinje.

In 2015, she got the BOSANA scholarship and she had the opportunity to visit Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles thanks to her BOSANA mentors who are respected doctors there. “The knowledge and skills I gained there will be helpful and useful for my future work as a medicine doctor”-says Ivana.”

She participated in social projects as well. She volunteered in the NGO “Tračak nade” in the projects with children. She considers herself a very open-minded, communicative and responsible person. Ivana is fluent in English and German.
