Meet Irma
Irma Strašević was born on August 5, 2003. She finished Medical high school in Tuzla and decided to study at the University of Tuzla, Faculty of Medicine.
She participated in the competition providing first aid since 6th grade of elementary school, which increased her love for medicine and made her join Red Cross Tuzla as a volunteer in 2018. For these five years of volunteering, she raised awareness of youth problems and has joined other non-governmental organizations, with the main goal to learn more about ways we have to solve and impact everything that concerns us. Through Youth Movement Revolt she became an activist for human rights, and thanks to them, helps with getting our voice heard by the decision-makers. She is also a part of Amica Educa's project for mental health, which she joined because she wants to understand and help her future patients the best possible, firstly by understanding what they go through.
She became the Youth President of Red Cross Tuzla, a member of the Red Cross of Tuzla Canton Presidency, where she works on projects and activities to help those in need and to work with young people helping them to build a safer and empathetic society for all of us. She wishes to become a doctor of medicine, a specialist in cardiology, and to open a mental health center.
"I believe that the only what we can say is ours in this world is what we give to other people.''
