
Meet Elma
Elma Kikić, born on March 26th 1994 in Tešanj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Doboj. That's where she finished both primary and secondary school. She went to Economy and trade high school where she participated in a lot of competitions and won several awards.
In 2012 she graduated from the high-school. Between graduation and University, she spent working in Turkey, concretely babysitting.
Elma graduated in 2018 at the Faculty of Philosophy at Tuzla University, where she studied Turkish language and literature and graduated among the first ones in her class. While being a student, she spent 4 years volunteering in 'Koraci nade', centre for children with disabilities. „I also did a lot of volunteering at my Faculty, since there was always a lack of professors and teaching assistants.“ –says Elma.
Elma was part of the team that has won the money to develop their project idea on a competition organised by BOSANA. Her team focused on the inclusion of children with disabilities.
She is fluent in Turkish, English and knows a bit German. „Books are my passion„-says Elma. In future, she would like to enrol in Master studies as well. Elma is married to Armin, who is also BOSANA Graduate, and together they have one daughter.
