Meet Dia
Dia Bičakčić was born on July 21st, 2000 in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. Dia finished Second Gymnasium in Sarajevo and received recognition as the best student in her class in the final grade of high school.
She was an excellent student through all primary and secondary school, and thanks to that, she was able to enroll in college to study for her dream job – psychology. Dia is studying at the University in Sarajevo, Faculty of Philosophy.
One of the reasons that she is studying psychology is that she considers herself an empathic person and having empathy for other people, and helping others make her happy. Dia likes to communicate with people and work in a team.
As a Psychology student, she is part of student organizations such as SINAPSA and the European Federation of Psychology Students' Associations (EFPSA).
Currently, she is a volunteer at the Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. „I think that volunteering is an interesting experience and a great way to fill out your free time.“-says Dia
She is a big fan of reading. In elementary school, she received an award for 2nd and 3rd place in a competition under the name ‘Book is my best friend’. Also, she likes to write. One of the poetries she wrote was published in a book for young writers.
One of the other hobbies is singing. Dia was in the choir in elementary and high school and participated in a lot of performances.
Dia is part of Bosana's Professional Development Program, and she thinks that's a great opportunity for my personal growth and acquiring new experiences.
„I'm glad that I'm a part of Bosana family!“ –says Dia.
