The importance of volunteering
"As you grow older, you will find that you have two hands - one to help yourself and the other to help others." - Audrey Hepburn.
I started my volunteer journey in elementary school. Years later, that journey continued and broadened my horizons. Through volunteering, you learn some new things, find out what your possibilities are, find your true self, meet new people.
When I would look at all the organizations in which I volunteered, I was especially impressed by my one-year work with migrant children, children are our future. Children need special attention, especially children who do not have a beautiful childhood due to a combination of life circumstances. Listening to their life stories, I realized how important humanity is among people, how important it is to be a good person. Working with them through a series of educational and entertaining content I always try to “feel childhood” at least for a moment.
Volunteers always try to do good things. Being a volunteer is one of the good things you can do in your life that will not allow us to limit ourselves. It has also helped me connect with the community, learn new skills, and even advance my career. Through volunteering, I develop self-confidence that is absolutely necessary.
At the end of the day, it is important to have a beautiful outlook on life, a rich perspective, and a life worth living.
